The Gezeitenland AirCare-Intensive specializes in out-of-hospital nursing and care for seriously ill people. The company opened its first residential communities in August 2015 in Altenberge, followed by the opening of residential communities in 2017 in Emsdetten in the Marienhospital and in April 2018 we opened the residential communities in Ahlen.
Out-of-hospital intensive care is the care of patients with life-threatening illnesses who require the most care outside of a clinic. The patients are ventilated or often have to be suctioned out via a tracheostomy tube. Inpatient clinical treatment in the hospital with constant medical monitoring is no longer necessary for this. From a clinical point of view, the rehabilitation has also been completed or does not promise any further success.
Instead, intensive care monitoring and care around the clock is necessary, since a life-threatening situation can arise for the patient at any time.
Quality care is our top priority. Therefore, in addition to completed nursing training and special qualifications for intensive care and home ventilation, our nursing staff often have additional training. For us, care means professional competence, attention and care that focuses on people and their personal history. A respectful, appreciative interaction with our patients and their relatives, but also within the nursing team, forms an important basis for our actions.
